Holboellia is more commonly known as the broad-leaved sausage vine. It is a vigorous growing evergreen climber that has leathery green leaves and produces highly scented reddish purple (female plants) or white (male plants) bell shaped flowers in the spring followed by sausage shaped fruit in the autumn. These climbers are suitable to be grown in gardens with clay soil.
