Magnolia 'Grandiflora Gallisoniensis' is a slow-growing, evergreen shrub/small tree with an upright habit that produces stunning large creamy white flowers late summer through to autumn. It has large glossy dark green leaves. The underside of the oval-shaped leaves are a dusty tan colour that look almost suede in texture. This adds additional depth and motion to the plant especially when the leaves ripple in the wind.
Magnolias grow best in full sun or partial shade. They do best with ericaceous (acid) compost or feed. They are suitable for gardens with clay soil.
This specimen has been grown as a half standard with a clear stem of 90cm and a leaf canopy of 80cm on top. Overall height approximately 170cm.
