Grown as an impressive half standard espalier/pleached tree on a bamboo frame, this Taxus Baccata (otherwise known as yew), is a slow-growing, dense evergreen conifer that has a narrow form. Its foliage is dark green that will keep its colour throughout the year. It has been meticulously espaliered onto a flat, strong rectangular bamboo frame. This is a very low maintenance conifer that doesn't require any clipping or pruning except to tie onto the frame every year or two if necessary.
Dimensions: 300cm overall height. Clear stem of 150cm. The frame is 150cm wide by 180cm high.
They grow well in both clay or sandy soils and can be planted into pots or as a statement piece into a border. It is excellent for screening and looks great throughout the winter giving structure to the garden all year round.
