Acers

You'll find a wide variety of acers in stock to chose from at Windlestone Nursery - from those with unusual lime-green frothy-frond type leaves to the well-known varieties with large-leafed brilliant red hues. In winter of course, acers lose their leaves, so we have focused on showing you the leaves in full bloom. 

We generally offer three size options:

• Young trees 60-80cm height 
• Half-standards at around1.5m height
• "Instant WOW!"  mature Acers at a 2-4m height or spread 

If you're looking for an immediate spectacular focal point in your garden, choose a large acer. However, if you are willing to be a little patient - as most acers do grow slowly over a few years, then choose a few complementary varieties to plant in a group.  You'll be rewarded with a beautiful colours from early spring right through to late autumn as the leaves evolve from tight green buds to the warm and brilliant oranges and reds of the colder months.

Even in their first year in your garden, they will delight you with a dazzling display!
