Bamboo

We stock a fairly wide range of bamboos - mainly well-established plants of over 1.5m - 4m in height (except for the smaller dwarf varieties of course).Bamboos are excellent screening plants and are a fast and cost-effective way of gaining instant privacy, when planted closely together. When planted in large pots on your patio, a tall bamboo can easily be moved into position to provide instant shade over outdoor seating areas as and when required. 

Be sure to select the type of bamboo that will suit your planting environment - whilst bamboo has gained the reputation of being invasive, it is relatively easy to contain a plant to a specific area by digging in a root barrier (that we keep in stock) around the plant.  Some bamboos are mound/clump-forming and their runners do not spread invasively.

Please note that we only stock 6-12 of the same larger bamboo species at any one time, so do call ahead - we're able to take photographs of a specific bamboo plant if you want to view the exact item before making your online purchase. ​We do order large quantities on request for specific custom landscaping projects.
